Exhibitions and Atelier Soleil

I began Atelier Soleil in 1996 in Montreal, Quebec, as a commercial arts studio and book arts centre providing weekly workshops in French and English on a wide range of creative book arts designs and applications. Click the sign to see the shop and find out more.

'H2Eau', a group exhibition with Montreal artists, Guy Glorieux and Gisele Comptois at Atelier Soleil, 2002.

'Ether Dream' was based on adults' recollections of being read to as children and the enduring effect this had on their love of books and reading as adults. Created for the graduate art studio lounge of Concordia University, 1999.

'Marginalia' featured some of my early book constructions combined with creative writing including 'Black Box Stories', a collection of vignettes, 'Water Book', a collection of poems, 'Two Days in the Desert', an exchange of correspondence double bound and overlapping with no exposed fore edge. Concordia University, 1999.

'Bound' and 'Flax en Vrac' were two group shows held at Montreal's Belgo Building with printmakers from Concordia University's graduate studios. My works featured a number of artist's books including 'Stanley Street' (shown left) and 'Ocean' (see Book Arts page).
